HAWKESBURY RIVER

The Hawkesbury River flows 145 km from Yarramundi in the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Sydney’s west then joining Brisbane Waters and Pittwater to empty into the sea at Broken Bay.

The upper reaches of the river form a peaceful boundary for the Sydney region as it winds its way through a valley dotted with charming hideaways and B&Bs.

Visit antique and craft shops and boutique galleries in the historic towns of Windsor and Richmond. Follow the Hawkesbury Harvest Farm Gate Trail for local produce.
